My ford F-150 shuts down when stopped at a light?

My truck runs good but when I slow down to stop It just dies.I cant hear my engine run it doesn't make too much noise the only way I notice it quit is my RPM gauge goes to zero
 
Sounds like it might be your cam shaft position sensor. My truck would shutoff at light's first then started to shutoff when I was at slow speed's after a couple of days.
 
start with the basics - when was the last time you changed the fuel filter? what kind of maintenance have you done (or not done) to the vehicle? you don't provide the year or what engine is in the vehicle. is it high milage? - is it a distributor or coil pack or coil on plug engine? is it a manual or automatic trans?
