week I had a tire blowout...? My Ford with 4 new tires from Firestone just last month had a tire blowout & I hit the side rails causing damage to my truck - it most likely can't be fixed. The woman driving behind me saw the tire blow causing me to lose control - and have an accident. When I was being put on a backboard by the EMS she said she saw the tire blow out causing me to lose control & hit the side rails. I was in tears - I had no idea what happened until she told us. She even stated she noticed I was driving exactly in the middle of the lane going ~ 4 miles/hour under the speed limit - 60 miles/hour. I'm disabled (I worked 24 years as an RN until 2004) & getting SSI disability income won't even cover the cost to live and eat so I had liability only. Is there any possible way that since the new tire caused this whole mess that I could receive help from Firestone? All I need is something (anything) to drive - the only place I go is to the hospital or Dr. office and I volunteer 4 or 5 hours on Tuesday at the sea center, luckily I get housebound church. Am I just out of luck and now at the end of my rope?
