I have a 2003 ford escort zx2 with premium sound and a cd changer in the trunk. The entire sound system and cd changer are as they come from the manufacturer. However, if I listen to cds at a volume higher than about 25 percent volume (which is pretty quiet) it skips a ton! I'm almost positive that the skipping is due to the speakers being positioned directly above the cd player in the trunk, causing it to vibrate because when I hit bumps in my car, the cd player rarely skips and it doesn't skip when cds are played at really low volumes. Does anybody else have this problem or have any ideas on how I can fix it?
