my flash drive won't pick up?

i have a cruizer flash drive which won't pick up when i put it in the computer. i used to pick up before and now if it stays in my computer for 10 minutes or more it get very HOT.

and i can't do a virus scan since it won't pick up any advice
also i tried it on 3 different computers and it has the same problem

any advice
