Two days ago (around midnight) I heard my fish splashing around. He was sideways and he kept floating up to the top but would try to fight it and go back to the bottom, only to float back to the top again. I diagnosed it as swim bladders disease via the internet and did a water change and I tried to feed him pees. (in like an hour he had like half a pea) He simply does not like peas, much like myself.
Now after I did the water change he is completely upside down but this time he's at the BOTTOM of the tank. he'll randomly start swimming, but then he goes upside down again. I'm really worried about my fish, I've had him for 7 years and he also hurt himself those 2 days ago when he was struggling to go down.

thank you if you can help.

your fish might have swim bladder so be prepared for it to die and i would advice you to get some fish medicine for the water but clean the tank out before you put the medicine in so that if you have any other fish they wont get it hope this was helpful :)

Peas and green veggies are a great deterant for swim bladder as well as a good cure if the swim bladder is not bacterial based. An antibiotic is what you need to be treating your fish with since it seems to be leaning towards the bacterial.

Changing water often doesn't cure swimbladder even if it is bacterial.. Keeping to a 25% weekly water change and gravel vac, feeding twice per week of greenveggies like lettuce, spinach, peas, beans, zucchini, cukes are a great preventative.

You will need to treat him with antibiotics. (Swim bladder meds are simply antibiotics.)

well im good with fish but i think its hurt it's gill this is rare but sadly it has a very good chance on dieing . im very sorry but take good care of it untill it dies sorry

My fish did something very similar floating upside down, and randomly swimming but floating upside down again. But then my fish died.
