My fish is move or eating the eggs idk!!?

OK my convict cichlids had eggs lol i took some magnifying glasses to see the eggs i can see the little babies in there but now the mom is eating or moving the eggs since i add some more fish in the tank ( yeah i know i should have not so please dont mention that part lol ) but umm she pick up the egg and goes in a cave next to were she laid them ( well the eggs are on the out side cave ) but she picks one out and goes in side picks out up goes in side i want to know if she is just eating them or if convict would do it

this is there first time having eggs btw if its helpful


i dont want to lift it up just if i damage the eggs =/

Some cichlids mainly african cichlids carry their eggs in their mouth or move them just out of natural ritual.

Keep a close eye on your other fish to make sure they're not eating them! If so you might have to seperate your breeding pair.

1: are u aware of the tornado watch? 2:yes she is prob moving em 2 shelter because animals can sense danger+if fish eggs are on the outside of the incubation chamber/shelter & u put new fish in there, she's probably trying 2 keep them away from the new fish(as she prob thinks dat dey'll try 2 eat em)
