feed them baby guppy food and make sure your filter can't suck them up. If it can, get one of those little tank attachments and put them in there until they get bigger maybe. When my betta had her babies, i attached a piece of foam around the filter intake, it didn't hurt the sucking power, but it lessened the chances of the babies getting sucked up. Also, keep an eye on the parents, they may try to eat the babies, im not too sure though. good luck!

They probably didn't mate. It's possible, but not likely.
The platy might have been pregnant, or fertilized even, when you bought her.
The babies will eat finely crushed flakes. The best would be to try to catch them and isolate them in a smaller tank, still with a heater and a VERY soft flowing filter.
Liquid fry food is great for the first few weeks, as their mouths are small, and they may not be able to eat the flakes.
Good luck.

i have a male fancy guppy and a female platy and i went to feed them one day and noticed some babies swimming around. i didnt know they would mate. help. what should i do or feed them or the care they need??
and i just noticed, its the otherway around, a new male and a new female. The guppy is male and the platy is female
