Go to the petstore and buy a breeder net to put the babies in so they won't get eaten. There is also a baby food called little bites. My babies love that food. For livebearers the fry can eat it right after birth. Or if you have a seperate tank with nothing in it and it is cycled, you can put them in there. Another option for feeding is crushing flakes up really fine for fry food. Good luck with the babies!

First off don't panic. These fry are pretty resourceful little things. If they still have their yoke sac attached, they won't eat until after that has been absorbed anyway.

After that, if they can steer clear of the adults who'll eat them, they'll happily accept crumbled bits of the usual food you feed them. If you have access to it, baby brine shrimp would be appreciated too.

take the babys into another tank if possible!
if not put regular fish food in a bag crush it up into tiny bits and feed them 3 times a day, turn off your filter theyll get sucked up!

Hatched baby brine shrimp or newly hatched daphnia are excellent foods for baby sword tails. They can also can be fed with either dried or liquid fry foods made for livebearers. These foods can be found at pet stores or through websites. Although baby sword tails can live on dried fry food, they do better if you include live food in their diet. Feed babies about three times daily.

Warning
In addition to separating babies from adults, do not feed large fish food flakes to baby sword tails. However, you can feed them ground up flake food. Because the flakes are sometimes large, fry aren't able to fit a whole piece into their small mouths.

First off you may want to seperate the adult fish from the babies. The adults have a tendancy to follow and eat the smaller ones.(I've had experience with that). You can feed them by just munching the fish food into smaller pieces than usual. Only feed them of you have seperated the big ones from the smaller ones.If you feed them in the same tank the adults will eat the food and the babies won't eat and grow weak.
