When I was checking on my aquarium this morning I noticed there was something moving. I payed closer attention and noticed it was a fry (baby fish). What do I do? Should I feed it something different? Will my Red Dwarf Guarami eat it? I need help!

Take it out. Put it in it's own container. The container can be a medium sized jar thats cleaned out really well. A filter is not necessary. You should get some live plants to create oxygen for it.

Your other fish WILL eat the platy. They usually give birth to around 50 or more so look around for more!

For food, just put some flakes into a ziploc bag and crush into fine powder. Feed 3-6 times a day as much as they'll eat in 30 seconds.

there r probably more in the tank chances r theyr going to get eaten :(
adult fish see them as steaks, so they eat them what u can do is take them out of the tank and isolate them until they grow big enough to not fit in fish mouths lol and then u can put them back also, u can buy a net that divides the tank so u can put them seperate u can feed it the same stuff but it has to be smaller so the babies can eat it. i my fish r always having babies and they keep getting eaten. thats the biggest threat out of 20 babies, about 3 will survive :(

Dont worry just put it in a tank WITH ITS MOMMY give it the same food but a smaller amount and make sure the mom does not eat it all before baby can eat it (cause mommy might be a bit hungry after giving birth) but dont be suprised when the mom dies and keep doing the same things to keep him healthy just keep the water warm not hot just warm

look closely, chances are there should be many more around. depending on what fish you have in there, there should be anywhere between 5-400+. if you're sure there's only one, it's possible the others have all been eaten. your gourami will probably try to eat it, so provide pleanty of hiding places. thick, bushy plants work well, should they be plastic silk or live, it doesn't really matter. chances are there will be more fry sooner or later.

have fun and good luck :)
