i just saw my poor little balloon molly dead on the bottom of the tank. :(
i had gotten her from petsmart just a week ago. i also have 2 other balloon molly & one rosy red minnow in with her. i removed her and flushed her down the toilet.

what could have been wrong? she didn't starve, i fed her this morning and she was eating. the water's clear...i just cleaned it a couple days ago...what could have happened?
also what should i do with my other 3 fish.. should i check them and make sure they're healthy...i seriously have no clue i've only had one other fish before..it was a beta and i was 7
i'm 15. and i do have the aqua safe tank conditioner.
i've done research, for almost a day straight. it's not a new tank either. i just bought a new filter
wow...the lady at petsmart said i can house any fish with ballon mollies. i asked about minnows are she said that's fine.

my mom won't take me to petsmart because she said she didn't even want the fish i the beggining. i can't drive and the nearest petstore is 40 minutes away.

since it died only a week you since you got him. It might just be poor health. SOMETIMES petsmart will give you bad ones. Is the tank brand new. Add some condioner or buy some, it's a yellow jar called aqua safe. If you didn't let the tank run fish free and it's brand new for a week that may be why. Heads up to do it next time.

You're a beginner, you're probably young and you haven't done research. No offense, but research should always be done before purchasing any live creature or pet.

Your tank probably wasn't cycled. If you don't know what that is, I recommend you take a good look at this website.

Just telling you, minnows need to be in groups of at least six.
