my fish are sick please help!?

my tropical fish are all huddled up in the corner of my tank, 1 group in one corner and another group in the other with the heater and filter. They are all usual swimming around happy as can be.
i tested pH and Ammonia and all is good.
They didnt even when there food.
I did find a dead fish in the tank a few hours ago but i dont know what caused it.

Any questions, i'll try to get back to you asap
Any ideas? i dont want my others to end up dead or sick.
i just did a clean 3 days ago
i feed bloodworms and flakes depending on what i have available
i cleaned the filter and gravel too.
i have a cat but shes not interested in them nor is she allowed in the room anyway.
 
couple things you should look at. Do your fish look healthy meaning fins and body color and things of that nature. also what type of fish are these.

some tropical fish are schooling fish and tend to "huddle" together in corners when lights are on or off one or the other usually. My tiger barbs do this when the lights first go out.

Also when your cleaning you filter and tank items do not clean with tap water as it contains chlorine that can be harmful to your fish as well as your beneficial bacteria. You should always clean your filter, filter cartridges, and deco and things with removed tank water during your water change. how long has your tank been up and has it been cycled properly?
 
check if the filter is clean,?
check if the water is the right tempreture, they don't like it too cold
make sure the food is in date and make sure your giving them tropical fish food,
ask down at a fish store, what they think about it..
clean out the tank?
or use a aquarium cleaner?
try a different food for them, maybe instead of flakes, the food that are in like a tablet form,
have you got a cat or something, or children? maybe there agravating the fish [like sitting watching them, hitting the glass]

When you cleaned the filter how did you clean it? Over cleaning a tank can cause water quality problems and the symptoms and death you described do indeed sound like a water quality problem

What are your ammonia/nitrate/nitrite readings exactly? Ammonia/nitrite should ONLY ever be at 0, anything other than 0 is toxic. Nitrates should be under 20ppm.
