My First Suzuki

after a lot of searching, last friday I got my first bike; a suzuki GS500F. brand spakin new. i love it! i'm sure as the years go by i'm gonna crave more power, but for now...damn...it's plenty good. i just cant wait to get her to 300 miles so i can finally open the throttle past 5,500rpm :D

thanks man:) i was looking at the Kawasaki EX500 as well, but the styling just couldnt compare to the GS500F. plus the guy at the Kawasaki dealer was a cunt. i'm glad i went with suzuki:D
 
ohhhhh man! I rode my buddies SV650 tonight...and he rode my GS500 around town...what a difference the v-twin makes...its sooo different. but I will say that I'm glad that I chose the GS for my first bike...the SV is a lil too much to handle for having ridden for just a month...
 
I just got a 2005 GS 500 for my first bike, however min is naked :O does anybody know of a place that sells a kit or something with the farings and cowling, headlight etc. im sure a suzuki dealer could order it but that would be hella expensive. any ideas?
 
Yes i have actually changed my thoughts on this, i am only going to have this bike for a year or so, then upgrade, so there is no point, and the streetfighter look is growing on me
 
I picked up a 2004 GS500F as first bike as well. I plan on getting a faster bike or moving right a cruiser later on but this is a great starter bike!
 
Great choice on a first bike. I too started out on a 98 GS500 and really enjoyed it. There is a website dedicated to the GS500, don't know if you knew about it or not. It is GS500
