I would like to first and foremost give my most utmost recognition to correspondent on this board Mooingrhinocero, this person helped me a ton and gave a noobie a very good path to walk down.

I have been pacing up and down these forums everyday for about a month now, at work, at home, in the middle of the night when I have a idea that's confirmed and cut down just the same. And for that, I am thankful. My head has been cramed with so much complicated knowledge that It hurts to think that I am searching for one particular thing.

I am tired, I can't take it anymore, well I can but I just want one victory. I don't want to disrespect the board with my sheer ignorance of it all, the codes, the roms, the unlockers, MIN, SPC, 3.37, 2.31, *778, **3424, qpst.

I am scared to death, all this **** I have tried on my phone and haven't bricked once (at this point gets up and smashes head against wooden door) PLEASE!!! someone......

an elder YES!! please let a PPC elder read this post!!!!!!!

I have a Sprint Touch, that I have flashed to Too's Cricket Rom( Thank you Sir Too) running ImCokeMan's 2.31 unlocker( Thank you Sir Coke)

I was able to get my SPC code and get to ##778 I followed Cellkeeper's Phone Epst settings(Thank you Sir Cell), and voila!!! was able to get a cricket message. (Big smile there)

I tried the OTA but no go, I called Cricket to try an get them to get my ESN DEC on the network, and get this......

They said that they could'nt do it because I had to cancel the old account, but when I bought the phone it was brand new.

My theory is that I need to change the SPC to all zeros but I found anyone with that situation yet.

Can anyone please point me in the direction to research.?

Thank you so much for your time.

Change it with qpst not the one time spc but the other one which is in the same area, change it to 000000. write to phone and viola ! You have to put the phone in diag mode for qpst to see it by dialing ##3424# then send. Hope that helps.

dude...you need to activate the esn to your account before you can OTA (*228) the phone...then the spc neeRAB to be "000000"...

hit me up just this once and i'll activate the phone to your account...

JUST THIS ONCE AND THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT I'LL DO THIS FOR ANYONE ELSE, SO DON"T PM ME IF U R NOT HIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anywho- if you have a new account with a new phone, then sometimes cricket will not allow your ESN to be changed to a flashed phone via CID which is their dealer login system...you'll have to go to a corporate stor...

i believe this is because of some things done by a few dealers to take advantage of how the system works...

so, shoot me a pm and i'll help you with your little delima...

btw- when i was three wayed by another senior meraber here to the dealer line, we were told that we could not change the phone to a flashed phone for 30 days...

we had never heard that one b4 and i have not heard it since...but this may sometimes be the case on new activations...

Its been like that for quite a minute where they dont let you esn swap it in the first month of service, theres two ways to get over it though pay for the month of service in advance then do the swap or call CS tell them you lost your phone "temporaly" suspend it next following day tell them you found another phone and to unsuspend it.

If you know your SPC you don't even need to do a OTA. Just get the PRL for your area and change the PRL. If your ESN is activated then it will work.

he said his esn wasn't activated...

cricket is not allowing dealers to activate flashed phones to new accounts for 30 days if the account was started with a free month of service...

reasons could be system flaws...
for example: i sell jonny a flashed phone for $200 and he pays first month on a $50 plan...then, without him knowing, i sell jonny a cheap cricket ez or something and apply his $50 to the ez and get the first month free...now i do esn change and activate the flashed phone on jonny's new account...

jonny still gets what he wanted, i get a free phone, and cricket gets screwed out of $50...

hmmmm...seems pretty simple to me...lol

if i were a dealer and had no business ethics, then i would have been doing this from the beginning...even weak ethics could encourage this type of behavior, because there is no rule against it...cricket left the door wide open...

too bad i'm not a dealer, because i may have come up with a million other ways to screw the system...again, if i had no ethics.

Correct ^^ thats what alot of people with no ethics done in the past Lol
Anyhow theres anotherrrr posible way Super CID your touch thennnnn bamm Lol nvm cant talk about that here

lol...his esn was already active on his account...he just needed his MIN in the MSID field in the PST...

it makes me laugh when someone is so close and just one little thing that they overlooked has them totally blocked out...lol

i helped him out, but next time grimmy you need to read a little better...

at least you are an organized noob and even walking you through stuff on the phone was super easy for me...wish i could say that about all peeps i help on the phone...MAN I LOVE LOGMEIN!!!

Mr. Randomwit,

Thank you so much for this service, for I know you did not have to whatsoever. The sound of a phone ringing was ......just beautiful.

I am more interested in this more then ever, I really think with a little polish, I can do this. And help someone like you helped me.

I did overlook the MIN in the MSID field, I thought it was my phone nuraber. I will wear this badge of "D'OH!!!" proudly though.

For I have went from :disappoin to :befuddled to  to :help: to :buddies:.

What a month!!!

Thanks again!!!!

I think flashing is very intimidating but once you do one, the rest is a cakewalk...well I mean until you have to trouble shoot a strange problem.

Wasn't intimidating at all and never has been for me! :2thurabs:

GOOD JOB, PEOPLE!!!!

*cries*

.....and NO, I'm still not drinking/smoking/shooting anything..... :)
