Hey Guize,

After weeks of practicing and several failed recording I finally recorded a mix that I was satisfied with. It's a rather short mix with Progressive/Trance tunes. I'd appreciate if some of you dance music lovers/fellow dj's would offer some feedback on it...

Thanks for downloading it Zero, Chasen, and Refreshing. I'd appreciate as much feedback/criticism as possible. I'm a beginner DJ and I'm looking to improve.

So far really liking the song selection, first 2 songs are great. I probably would EQ the transition of them differently by bringing the 2nd song's miRAB in louder and making the first song's softer to make the transition more fluid.

Transition between songs 2 & 3, I like what you did bringing the bass in from the 3rd song but you should keep the volume down on it a little and keep the miRAB of song 2 up so the vocals play out. song 2 just enRAB pretty abruptly.

Transition between 3 & 4 is great IMO. The only thing I would change is put some kind of effect on the end of wasted to really highlight the opening break of song 4 .

I'd bring in I'm not alone at least 64 beats earlier because the synth from song sounRAB like it goes on slightly too long. I'd probably kill the hi's and most of the miRAB altogether a minute into I'm Not Alone also.

Transition between 5 & 6 the beatmatching is kinda off and I'd also use an effect or some equing at the end of I'm not alone to bring in the opening break better. Just like between 3 & 4.

I like all the transitions between the last 3 songs a lot.

I don't feel like the last 3 songs fit in with the rest of the mix at all. It goes abruptly from Progressive House to trance

Wow man thanks so much for your taking some time out and giving me some criticism. I truly appreciate it. Now that I think about it, the last 3 songs are quite different from the songs prior...I realized that as I put together the mix but at the same time songs 6-8 are similar to 1-3. I didn't really focus so much in keeping the songs in the same genre as I did in keeping the same vibe. Keep a strong vibe while keeping the excitement low was my goal.

im listening now, not my style of music, but mixing is good, specially for your first recording, actually enjoyed some of the tunes well done
