So, I finally found a great bargain on a dining room table, and this is the first we've ever owned.
Long ago I bought some napkin rings to save for my first dining set.
I believe these rings are a wicker material, which is great, because the base of my table is wicker, and they are typical basket colored [very light tan in color, almost yellowish] with a Native American-esque style of weaving. There are four, and they come in varying patterns, using the colors red-orange, yellow, and dark green.
I would like to find some matching placemats that would fit any season, which could be used all year-round but not seem out of place during the holidays or summertime, at least not to Emily Post...
I would also like to find some of those tie-on cushions used in your garden-variety dining room table chairs.
I have searched Etsy.com and have found quite a few options, but I am specifically looking for a set of four placemats/cushions/linen napkins that would fit these details, for a price of $30 or less. I've searched the mall before, but I avoid that hellhole as much as I can, and of course, the items I loved were simply ridiculous as far as their prices went. I also love Pier 1, but it is also very expensive. And my favorite thrift stores are a hit or miss. I doubt I'll find what I'm looking for when I am in search of it.
As far as the linen napkins go...I'd go with white, but that color dirties easily, and is also boring.
What is your opinion on a burgundy tint, whether it is rusty burgundy [now I may just be making up nonexistent color schemes!] or a deeper wine-colored burgundy?
The dining ensemble does not need to match any other part of the house but itself.
Thank you so much for any replies...detailed answers if possible, please, and thank you very much!
I also have coasters, which are not entirely important to me as far as matching, but they are yellow, bright orange, and dark brown. I feel like they'll match not entirely, but just enough.
