My Fire fox History isn't working?

Alright, I downloaded 'Zone Alarm' and it suddenly messed up my history. As in none of my bookmarks show, and my history doesn't show. Now I have firefox 3.03 and it's really messed up. Any suggestions? Oh I deleted firefox and reinstalled it again. It just doesn't work, and I tried to download an earlier version of firefox like firefox 2; but that's messed up too. The history shows but at the bottom there is a rectangular box that covers up half the page.

Help please?
