My fiance' is joining the Navy. What can I expect while he is boot camp and?

he'll be in fort leonardwood for basic training then be assigned to a base throughout the nation
 
I'm really not all sure about the navy, but my brother is in the marine corps.
you'll be able to communicate with him through letters, (im not sure about the navy) but the marines collect cell phones the first day.
and they'll probably have a graduation ceremony after basic training.
after basic training, he'll probably go to school to do whatever hes going to. my brothers doing financial managment(no idea what that is)

and if you get married, you can live on base with him for free while he is stationed.

im sorry if this is wrong.
but i know this is how it is for the marines.
