...african clawed frog.? hi there people
i wrote up what iv put below in an earlier question but ive now got a link to a picture i took of him just after he died....
you guys said it could be 'Dropsy'? sorry the picture not great but what do you think now you can see

It was an albino african clawed frog, literally about an hour ago it was swimming about quite happily although i did think that it looked slightly bloated, but then again it always looks slightly chunky so i didn't think anything of it? i went to feed the fish about 20 minutes ago and it was on its back at the bottom of the tank motionless, i helped it up and to the top and for about 10 minutes sort of just stood there aiding it on hoping it would move but it was absolutely motionless, i noticed a small purple line around where its bum is, i don't know if this is because it's dead it's skins going funny colours etc im clueless, im not an expert on fish i've just kept them for a few years, it's just random how it suddenly died???? absolutely gutted i loved the thing!

thanks for your responses, we had him for a about a year, i noticed once before he seemed like he needed air so we took him to the surface and he was fine but this time there we're no signs of anything, he was randomly passed away

just looked at some photos online for illnesses, it definately dosnt look like red leg, it looks more like dropsy, he wasnt huge but he was fairly big, im not sure what size they should be you see so i cant really say if it wasn't an appropriate size?
