My Fave for T-Mobile

Well, you've all heard of Alltell's "My Circle", where you can pick your friends from any carrier, and have unlimited calling to them. Well, T-Mobile is doing the same thing called "My Fave". It's for 5 friends, on any network.

Now, I would like to point out, that this has been in the works since BEFORE alltell, they just released it first. T-mobile's is definently more thought out. With Alltell, you have to pick your friends, and the customer service has to enter them manually. With T-Mobile, it will be instant. You'll also have icons on your phone that tell you who your "Fave's" are.

I don't know all the specs yet, but I know the tentative release date is October 1st. I'll post more as i find out!

It will be the same as the plans are now, only new plans. Same minutes, same nights and weekends and everything, just 10 more

Most of my Contacts are with Bell Mobility, and most of those contacts have a Blackberry. So with free Bell to Bell calls and text for $5.00 a month, and BB messenger for free, my bills are pretty slim.

There are some major draw backs to this as well. Among them: 1. You have to have My5 compatible handset, meaning you have to buy a handset from T-Mobile decrees as being a My5 phone. 2. My5 family plan loses mobile-to-mobile minutes, however each line has their own list of 5.

Correct on the phones, but there are phones out there that are already capable. I think the new pearl is capable. On the family plans, I didn't know that...

Doobs, You are the wealth of info! Cant wait to see how this all shakes out! The more suscribers TMO gets, the better the coverage will get. I use my phone over 4000 minutes a month, and for me to drop from the 5000 minute plan, to the 2500 minute plan would be a gamble, to save $20 in essence. ( Up $10 for the My Fave, then down $30 to lower rate plan) However this MIGHT be what get's my wife to switch to a Pearl from her razr. 90% of her calls are to me and her parents.
Awesome info Doobs!

Here's the phones that are out that are already capable: blackbert pearl, t209(red and blue), t319, t519, t609.

Now don't freak if you have one of these phones and you don't are this option, it's an OTA activation!

Reminder: when this rolls out, there will be more new phones! Also, an updated razr!

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~so what about me and my 8700g??? Will I be able to get it OTA?

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ T-Mo has basic info about it on their site, just search for " 5 " and it will show in the results. Sounds good considering I'm on a family plan and not many relatives from my hometown are on T-Mobile.
