My father-in-law to be claims to have been a navy SEAL, do you think?

I think he's lying. He was in the navy, thats for sure though.

He has no friends to back this story up, he has no badges or anything, except ones that he ordered off the internet, he is incredibly lazy, so lazy that he can't even get up to get his own beer, he has a history of lying...

do you think it's possible that a lazy middle aged man could have been a navy SEAL and have no evidence to show for it? I've considered reporting him to that group that tracks down fake navy SEALS, but I don't have the heart to ruin his life.
He also claims to have been in the EOD, whatever that is
 
ex Marine and proud of it.dont ruin his life.theres really no point. but I will say this....I wish I had a dime for every fool Ive come across that makes this same claim.
 
There are more people that claim to be Navy SEALS than there are actual SEALS, if he was real, you'd know it.

How long was he in the Navy? I believe a SEAL is a six year commitment.
