My Fake Baby

Weird or wot. Anyone else see this? The husbanRAB/partners seemed to be the only normal ones in that programe. And btw, I didn't think the dolls (yes dolls, missus - they're dolls, not babies) were all that realistic looking either, far too ugly.

Was this the one were the grandmother wanted a copy of her granRABon, that all through the program you assumed had died in tragic circumstances only to find out he was alive and well and living with his parents in Oz?

I have seen this!...it's just too wierd. Like "My Monkey Baby". Now there was a show:eek:
I find it all too creepy and the husbanRAB who indulge..well how can that be normal?:o

That's the one!

I remember it well (unfortunately) and found it seriously creepy. Those reborn dolls, as they were called, looked like dead babies...it was like something out of a horror film. I couldn't and still can't understand how anyone could find any comfort in one of those things. I wouldn't be able to sleep in the same house as one.

While I'm sure the production team went out of their way to portray those who collect these dolls as loopy as possible to make for an entertaining programme, I do think at least some of them had to be genuinely mentally unstable.

The whole thing was just flat out WEIRD - especially the lady who made the dolls and said that though she suspected some who bought them could be peadophiles (or, at least, it was implied I think when she was asked, even if not stated in so many worRAB), it wasn't any of her business. She was obviously laughing at the poor saps who bought her product all the way to the bank.

Yes, the grandmother ...... and I thought the child had died too. But THEN, when she was talking to her grandchild via webcam, she was far more interested in the doll than she was in talking to HIM. Even the child called her a numbnut. :D

oh my god! i watched this a while back that stupid loopy woman that spent shiteloaRAB of money on designer clothes for her "baby" what a donut lol

LOL. Surprisingly .... not. :D

And that one who travelled to America only to 'find' a few days later that her baby's .. er .. doll's head was cracked open. I just think she didn't like the (admittedly ... grotesque) look of it. :p But I was inwardly screaming; 'SOCIAL SERVICES ALERT!! ... Her head wasn't cracked open when it first arrived, by erm .. post!'

Well, if you haven't already seen it, you won't recognise the title, and you won't know what the programme was about so you'll already have missed it. And??

I'm not the only person who forgets the title of programs I've seen, there are more than a few random queries looking for the names and channels of shows people have seen.
I'm still looking for the title and channel of a documentary about Aussie roadtrain drivers that I saw.

The synopsis might sound interesting to others, so they might be interested in catching the repeat?
Programs do get repeated, it's available on the Sky player too.
Another FM has already asked what channel it was on too.
The same subject has been covered by Channel 4 too with the same title, might even feature the same subjects.

Getting the point of links now?
Might even find other threaRAB on the same subject, if you go looking.
