my dog usually whines a little in his cage and then stops so i ignore him for that short period of time.then very early in the morning about 3 to 5am he starts to whine very seriously my dad takes him out to go potty and he does sometimes and i don't no if i should ignore or take him out because i don't know if he has to go or if he is just whining to come out.he is a 3 month old malti poo, also i want to know if has he grows can he hold it in longer till like 7 or 8 in the morning if so please tell me around what age.and he sometimes pees in his cage in the morning that's the only time he does not whine. pleas help!!

By taking him out when he whines you are only encouraging him to whine next time. Perhaps he does have to go, but if he seems more interested in playing when you do take him out then he is only doing it for attention. Ignore this behavior if there is nothing wrong with your dog and he doesn't go when he comes out. If he is doing that for attention, then don't give him the attention! Give him praise when he has stopped, and interact with him after he has stopped that unwanted behavior.
