My dog is acting weird, what could be wrong?

My dog is an 11 year old border collie. Today she's been acting really clingy with my mum and right now she's lying in my room, perhaps getting up and lying somewhere else in my room every few minutes. She's not coming when she gets called. She won't stay away from me my mum or dad. She's not eating her dinner tonight either.
It's weird because she's usually very well behaved and often sits on her own somewhere quietly. She's going to the vets tomorrow to be weighed (she's on a diet) so my mum will ask the vet then but meanwhile does anyone know what might be wrong?
I don't think she's dying... I just found out she knocked over our pretend giraffe (yh i know, it's as weird as it sounds) today and she now won't go near it... We've two stair cases and she'll go down the back (away from the giraffe) but not the front (you can see the giraffe). We tried getting her to go near it but wouldn't so we moved it but she still wouldn't go where it was. We brought it out to where she was and she ran up the back stairs... she's currently hiding in my room again...
 
I wouldn't jump to the conclusion of death but it could be a possibility. Also remember that if she is sensing something wrong with a family member she might be nervous. I've notice this gets worse with age.
 
well im not sure but they say that dogs do stuff like that when they're going to die because they're saying bye..
but i dunno i don't wanna scare u just take her to the vet poor thing she might be sick.
 
the fact that she is old might have to do with.. your dog is 11 years old.. thats quite old/ good luck
