my dog is a 1yr old maltipom and he has been so sad lately he mopes around...

...whining all the time what can i do? he whines when nobody holds him and someone has to be in the same room with him or he'll start howling and whining. I just don't know what to do anymore it has been going on for about 2 weeks please help

Try to give him treats or kisses. Maybe take him to the vet. He might be sick.

maybe you should excersize him more. I know those small dogs tend to get carried around alot which equals a bored, whiny, lazy grumpy dog. Take him out for little walks, hes not very big and a long walk could be detrimental. A little walk around the yard, play with a toy. MAKE him do it. he sounds like hes already lazy, and its just going to get worse if you dont start doing it now. We had this little maltese my grandma would carry around ALL THE TIME and it was just awful...anyways, she ended up consulting a dog trainer who said that by carrying it all the time that all she was doing was getting a lazy spoiled dog.

Your mixed breed dog is showing what happens when you randomly breed dogs with no care for their health or temperament.

Most likely it came from weak tempered parents and he is just a products of his messed up disregarded genetics.

All you can do is live with your mistake, enjoy it for what it is, and never fall into the trap of thinking a mixed breed is something special because someone made up a name for it.
