The vet set him home with an ointment (resortin) but it has neither alleviated his pain nor restricted the quick growth and spread of the wound/infection. It started as a small wound with a little exudate/blood (the size of an eraser head), it grew in size to a quarter then a separate dime sized wound appeared nearby. There are now three quarter sized wounds and one is spreading into his inner ear. This seems serious to me. Any advice?
My dog has a wound that is spreading in patches, anyone experienced this?
