My dog has a healing wound and...?

My dog has some kind of allergy, the vet said. We have been medicating her with the pills her prescribed and putting her ointment on and cleaning it like we are supposed to. I can tell she is healing now because she is much happier than the last few days, and she is eating again. Also, where the wound is, it is starting to turn a brownish yellow, which is really gross.. and shes starting to scratch it again.. so im sure this all means its healing.

My fear is that since there is so much dry blood and puss, and she's scratching, will she be flaking?! That will eb so gross if she flakes everywhere!!!!

Will she?
Is there a way to prevent it other than those things you put on a dog so the don't itch?
I mean so they don't scratch**

Colloidal silver spray (in fact i'm just about to order some off internet) . That is what our dog breeder used and I saw her spray it on puppies tummy (rash) and they didn't mind.

If there's puss, it's not healing - pus = infection. Is she on antibiotics? I don't know what 'flaking' means.

For the cause of the itching - you need to check her diet. Many dogs these days are allergic to various food, especially any product with wheat. It's always better to treat from inside, rather than treat the result.

If there is pus, she needs to go back to the vet.
