my dog got hit by a car this morning, i don't know who hit him, our neighbors just called us and told us what happened. the lower half of my dog's body is paralyzed, and the vet said that the best solution was to just put him to sleep.. but i don't want to let go of my dog yet.. is there any other solution to this? T.T

so sorry to hear about your dog. it is always sad when a pet becomes ill or has an accident, and the only kind solution is to put them to sleep. try to think about what your dog would want, not what you want. can you honestly say that your pet can have a good quality of life in this condition. many people use doggy wheels where it is just the hind legs, but this is not what nature intended. if you love your dog, and trust your vet, then do the kindest, most selfless thing you will ever do, and end it's misery.

Your veterinarian is the best person to go to to talk about other options. If your dog is paralyzed in his hind end, you will have LOTS of challenges to deal with if you decide not to euthanize him. Are you prepared to take care of a special needs dog?

You could have your dogs hind legs aputated and preplace them with a trolley like this -

Hope this helps
