I adopted a dog a few months ago and his behavior keeps getting worse. He sees bikes and wants to attack them he even turns around and bites his leash- he's gotten a piece of me before but hasn't broken the skin. We've tried getting him to sit and stay for a treat (never worked), we tried force next when he lunges we'd pull him the other direction tell him no, we got a training collar and have been using that for a few months (whenever a bike comes near and he reacts badly he gets shocked). It ONLY works with the shock collar on- even if it is on and you don't shock him immediately he turns snaps and will turn on the leash. He needs professional training but I don't think I can afford lots of sessions and if he has to go to a pound it's likely he'll be put down...I'm not sure what more I can do with him. I think he's becoming to dangerous to keep (he's bitten a biker before and has recently started turning on me every time a bike goes by)
