my dog ate my other dog dogs poop!?!?

i'm giving my cocker spaniel food but why did she ate my toy poodles poop?
please explain.
what am i doing wrong?
any advice?

Most dogs eat the feces of another because when they are puppies their mother eats their poop to keep the space clean. When the puppies see some of their mothers doing this they pick up the habit and start doing it themselves because they saw their mother doing it. The only other explanation for your dog eating the feces would be that she is not getting enough nutrition the first time through, but if this was the case she would be eating her own, not your other dog's. You are not doing anything wrong, this is just a learned habit thet your puppy happened to pick up on. If you do not want your dog to consume the feces anymore all you have to do is keep your yard clean and free of any poop that your dog would find to eat. Hope this helps :).
