My dog ate a bag of M&Ms...?

My dog ate a bag of m&ms and I don't know if I should be overly alarmed or not. He is a bigger dog, probably about seventy pounds or so. The m&ms were milk chocolate, not dark chocolate which I have heard is good. If someone could give me some advice on whether or not I should call a vet on Monday or if I should even take him to the emergency vet clinic nearby that is open 24/7, or if he's just going to be fine.

How long ago did he eat it? how big of bag?
If it was a little bag.
watch for vomiting or diarrhea,excessive panting, a common complaint with chocolate poisoning is "my dog looks drunk"
If you start to see any of the above symptoms do not wait until monday go to the V.E.C. today.

If it has been under an hour you can give him a table spoon of peroxide. this will cause him to vomit.
If it has been longer then an hour it has already started going through his digestive system so don't bother.
 
meh, hell been fine my dog ate a whole bag of minstrels lol and he was a big dog , its only bad if a tiny dog eats chocolate :) we should stuff a mars bar down one of thoses dogs thoses girls carry in there handbags >:)
 
Watch what he does. If his behavior or attitude changes, take him to the vet. Also take him to the vet if he starts throwing up.

I don't think you should be alarmed now though!
