My Dodge Ram Oil pressure drops out?

When I start it it has good oil pressure, then it starts to drop, the engine starts to rattle and after a minute or so, the pressure drops to zero. If I wait for a few minutes, then restart the engine, the problem replays.

The ECM failed a year ago, and it sat without running for a year before I changed out the ECM. Now it runs fine, except for the oil pressure problem, which of course keeps me from driving it.

My guess is the passages from the cylinder heads are restricted, and I have put a quart of transmission fluid in the oil to act as a detergent.
I also connected an air line to the oil pressure sending unit port and shot trasnsmission fluid and air into the oil system.

My questions:
Is there a better way to flush the garbage out of the oil return passages which won't potentially damage the bearings, rings, cylinder walls and valve guides?

If it turns out to be a malfunctioning pressure relief valve, where is it and how do I check it?
