so it wasn't a huge fire. during lunch i moved my car closer to the building and i noticed the car was REALLY stating to smoke. i opened my hood and seen that there was a small fire under my battery. i got under the car to blow i out. i seen that there was a black cord unplugged and it looked like it should have plugged in where the fire started. does any one know what what this cord could be?
and odviously david you didn't read. it was a small fire and if you had any common sense like im sure you don't you would realize that it was the quickest way and closest i could get to the flame. Im sure you would have just let it burn. im sorry if i have responsiblties and i need my car.

The negative ground wire that goes from the (-) NEG terminal of the battery and attaches to the metal frame of the car? I suppose if there is a short circuit or if there was arching and sparking it could cause a fire if there is grease or gas vapor present. Take it to the shop.
