We tried turining wheel while trying to turn key, also putting pressure on the wheel while trying to turn the key nothing works. It feels like it is locked. Please help, she is a single parent and needs her car for work and school.
This is a very, very common problem with this vehicle! The problem is the Ignition Tumbler Assembly (lock cylinder) These cylinders tend to jam or hang up from dirt in the tumbler just like the ones in the Monte C. and Impala! ADDED: (Not saying anything about the other GM tech) but why does everybody tell them to take it to the dealer! We do these repairs in our shop daily! So skip the dealer because most of the Technicians dealers now hire are inexperienced "kids with tool boxes" so they can get away with paying them lower flat rate hourly rates! Bring the vehicle to a Trusted independent shop to have this repair performed (this is not a dealer required repair (So i know if she is a single mother then I am sure that she does not have a lot of money to give a GM dealer)
