My dad found a joint in my backpack?

My dad found a joint in my backpack, i took it from his stash but he didn't know, what should i do?
Should i tell him it was his shit and i wanted to see what it was that he did or should i say i am holding it for a friend
 
tell the truth. dont tell youre holding it for a friend...will never believe you...never works. lol ive so been there.
 
Don't tell him you took it from his stash. Don't tell him you're holding it for a friend. Tell your dad that you got it for him as a gift. :-)
 
Just tell the truth.
Surely you won't get in too much trouble. He does it himself, so he can't put himself on some moral high ground or it would be hypocritical.
 
tell him you found it around the house if he is smoking wtf he can really get that mad but that idk if you should lie about weather you got it from him or not it depends on how he would react but tell him its yours because he wont believe that other crap say you wanted to try it or something
