...turn the engine over, why is this? I have the original key that can open everything on the car and turn it on but I just recently bought a copy, on which everything works (and I did have it cut), and when I try to turn my car on I can get ignition 1 and 2 with full internal power but when I get to 3 to turn the engine on it sounds as thought there is no power going to the starter engine like the battery is disconnected. Any suggestions?

im pretty sure its one of the newer laser cut keys with the anti theft technology stuff that uses a security chip. if it's from the dealer go up there and have them fix the problem. if its from anywhere else, that's your problem. the security feature is made to keep people from copying your key and stealing your car not necessarily the stuff in your car, therefore cheap non dealer keys wont start your car.

Did you have the key made at a dealer? It sounds like they didn't program the chip inside the plastic part of the key.
(If it's like mine, then it has to be programmed)
This is an anti-thief feature.
