My computer keeps popping up new internet pages and won't stop? help!?

Sometimes when I click on something, it will take forever to load, then all of a sudden it pops up 4 of the same page, then my computer loses control and starts loading more and more of the same page. I do control+alt+delete, but the task manager only stops existing pages, and doesn't prevent new ones from popping up. I have to do an emergency shut off everytime. Sometimes, even after I turn it back on, it keeps loading more of that same page. Help!

I have a Windows Vista
and don't tell me its because Vista sucks.
