My computer keeps crashing when running certain games?

I've just updated my computer; adding 2 gb Ram, 500 watt power supply, intel dual cpu E2160. I've got a 8800 GT 512mb, Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3 ddr2+ 1200 motherboard. I have also updated my driver to 190.62. My computer runs adequately on some games (e.g. bioshock , prototype) but for some anonymous reason it crashes on crysis and batman arkham asylum even though it runs extremely smooth on highest settings but then freezes and crashes (either leading us back to desktop or resulting in complete reboot) after a short period of time. thank you for replies/suggestions/solutions.
 
8800gt is not enuf 2 run crysis.

I use GTX 260 with 4gb ocz reaper ddr3 rAM, amd phenom 550 3.7GhzCPU and i still only get around 40fps.
So with a 8800gts thats 2 much 4 it 2 handle.

best thing 2 do wud b 2 upgrade the graphics card.
 
Since it runs fine on most games, and crashes randomly on only the 2 games, it isn't a hardware problem. Best thing i can suggest is make sure you have up-to-date drivers and that they are compatible with those specific games. If they are, make sure you have latest patch for crysis/batman
