I just refurbished my computer.
Took two old Dell systems and had them combined into one better system. I installed a new "Diamond Stealth ATI Radeon 9250" Video card. It wasn't working at first so I took it to a shop and they got the thing running. But I still can't play Atlantica Online.
The game previously refused to even load with the old onboard video card. There's a minimum requirement program on the game that doesn't even let you play if you don't have the right video card. Now when I load the game Random color boxes (big ones almost filling the screen) flash and then when it fully loads it loads to a black screen, music playing, with only the ingame curser showing.
I tried going to ATI's website and downloaded a Driver Client and ran it (will that cause problems if I already had the drivers installed?) (Oh der I juse realized I have windows XP Now. Same question though the refurbisher already downloaded the appropriate drivers supposedly should this cause any problems?)
Then I installed DirectX 9.0. Neither worked. I have a Intel Pentium 4(R) 2GHz processor and 1G of Ram, plenty of hard disk space, and supposedly 250 GHz Video card.
WHY ISN'T IT WORKING!!!?????
