the top. Any1 heard of this b4? I think it is dying. I have separated it and put it in a tank with a filter. I had a fish a few months ago that did this, i put loads of salt in it's water and it is back to normal now after about 8 weeks. But this time the second fish to do it doesn't look like it is going to recover. The filter jet just pushes it around the tank. I hope none of my other 10 goldfish that were in the same tank goes this way!
It is not swim bladder as he dont stay at the botttom.
He was in a 80 litre tank with 10 others, he is now in a large plastic tub by himself.
No idea of the readings.
I've had the comets for about 18 months now, they were in a separe tank to my 2 goldfish who i've had for nearly 3 years. I bought a bigger tank and put them all in together. They have all been together for about 3 months now.

If the fish is unable to maintain is equilibrium (unable to stay upright or swim properly) in the water it could still be a swimbladder disorder.

What size tank is it in and what are the full water chemistry readings?

Ok, well you need a bigger tank but I'm not even going to get into that right now.
It's more than likely swim bladder. Shelled peas help, and goldfish eat almost anything, so yeah, put in a cooked shelled pea. It should pass whatever holdin' it up through!
If that doesn't help, there isn't much you can do. I tried the pea thing, and my black moore ate it. He recovered! It will last approx. 2 days though.

How long have you had this fish? Did you just get it. We had a fish one time that was like that. It would jump out of the tank on the floor. We would have to scoop it back up and put it in the tank. We just classified it as a crazy fish. If you've had it for a long time, yes it may be dying but unless it has some kind of disease usually caused by new fish in the tank I don't understand why it is taking days to die. Usually fish are fine one day and die the next when they're old.
