My chihuahua whines in her cage?

She never used to whine but know she does and she stops if i take her out and hold her.
Ive tried putting a blanket over the cage so she wont see me.
Any advice?
I put her in there when i cant be with her
 
I raised puppies and I never caged my dogs. I know that sometimes it can't be helped, but if you are just putting her in the cage because you don't want to spend time with her or you are putting her in there to sleep, try letting her sleep with you. Chihuahua's are pretty much little lap dogs.
