my central locking system on my toyota prius isnt working. might be the ice? any ideas?

I have tried both key fobs. I do not have a separate key so I am stuck without access to my car. The walking is keeping me fit but I do need to have my car back! Where is the central locking receiver located? It could be covered by ice or snow?
I have no separate key to access the doors so am relying on the key fobs only.
