my cats stopped eating abt 20 days ago...so i took her to the hospital...at the opd...?

they gave her some IV n sent her back..i went again after two days...where they dicovered jaundice...my cat already has catract and the cause was discovered to be diabetes....she wasn't admitted...i took her everyday for treatment...
she used to eat her most favourite cheese,egg yoke until a few days ago...they also give her insulin but she only drinks water n is on the IV
the doctor seems to have lost hope...n gave afew tonics n advised to come after 3 days...
 
Maybe experiment with different soft foods. Maybe the one she has been eating may not agree with her. I am sorry to hear her being so sick. You need to call them back and insist them to take care of her. Is there any pain medicine they can give her? She is ill. Or maybe get a second opinion. In the meantime, just give her as much love and attention as you possible can. I hope in time she will get better. Like I said, try different foods. I understand all about the foods, my cat is very picky. She will only eat 9 Lives Tuna or anything with a gravy. But those may be too harsh for her stomach. Try something for like sensitive stomachs. Ask your vet what they can offer is soft foods for her. Maybe even mix it with the food you usually give her. Also, stick with the water. Milk can curdle in a cats stomach and give them a upset stomach and diarehia. So actually, milk is not good for older cats. God bless.
