(short story)
my cat recently gave birth and she whines a lot.
(long story)
hi, my kitty just gave birth 2 days ago (for the first time). she likes tending her little babies. but most of the times when i sit with her while she feeds them. as soon as i leave the room, she jumps away from her kittens and follows me while whining !! she goes everywhere i go and whines. when i sleep at night (in the same room with her) she would suddenly whine out of the blue and demand to be taken out of the room ( i keep my door closed coz i have other cats in the house and i dont want them bothering the newborns). and when i let her out she continues to whine and comes back in and whines some more! .. i feel like she doesnt want to be lonely. because whenever she feeds the babies she seems to lightly moan in pain from the suckling. so at night when they wake her up she maybe lonely so she wants to look for someone. but, heres the real question is it normal ?? i mean ive had her for 3-4 years since she was a kitten and i know she's attached to me but still im worried. my mother says maybe she cries out of stomach pains. when she gave birth i didnt watch so i dont knw if all the placentas came out becoz she eats them!!! so maybe there is one still stuck in her and is causing an infection? i dont know but i dont think so becoz most of the time when im with her she's calm and quiet. i really hope she is ok. so please just tell me if its normal
