SOO.
My dad makes my two cats go outside during the summer.
I don't live at home anymore and my apartment doesn't allow animals, otherwise my cats would be with me and not outside.
But My cat Scooby, was just let in the house because it's getting colder out. My dad had noticed a circular opened wound on his shoulder. It's not a bite wound, it almost looks like a fresh burn that took a couple layers of skin off, it's kind of deep, but not deep enough for stitches. It doesn't look infected and doesn't seem to hurt him.
Now, if his wound gets worse and seems to be affecting him at all, I'm taking him to the vet.
I want to know what could have possibly done this to him (My dad lives in the suburbs.) and what are some things I could do to prevent it from getting infected?
