My cat died...

I've had many pets over the years. I lost a dog a few years ago. My cat Winston was a harsh one. Came home after a good dinner night out and seen him walking around all happy and stuff. He didnt come when he was called for his dinner so we went outside to find him. Went around the corner, there on the side of the road was my now deceased cat. Hit by a fucking car. And from the small part of what i seen of him, it would have been instantaneous. He was one of the family's favourites. A few weeks passed and i had gotten myself my own cat. Timmy! Grew up with the little dude for 2 years. Moved houses, he came with us. 3 weeks later he disappeared and i presumed he was dead :(. 6 months later i am awaken by this noise on my window. Behold my cat was back. For 2 nights then he disappeared again... Havent seen him since. And just recently my ferret died...
 
I killed the dog yesterday afternoon. She attacked a friend of mine. It would have been ok, but when she went after a 4 year-old, the instinct took over and a quick blow to the head ended it. I went out this morning to feed her, only to find an empty yard.
 
Jarilith I also understand what you've gone through. I too have had several pets, though in the last decade we've only gotten one cat. I don't want to lose anyone I grow so attached to, so I just don't do it. My wife and kid pretty much forced me to go along with getting one, and we did. He's just turned 2 and if he died, I would just break down. Of course he has to like me the most and sit with me, and love me, and just make it very easy for me to love the little guy. I am so sorry that you, or anyone, would have to go through such an unfair thing. My deepest sympathies.
