my cat brought brought home a very weird mouse like creature?

it was about 1 1/2 inches long the tails a bit longer a good 2" long the "mouse" had a pur white under belly with bright ginger sides and the top on its back area is brown is it a doormouse? vole? or what it is so small and cute (well it was) tiny tiny whiskers any ideas? i live near fields but although my cat brings home rats, mice, even moles and once a big kesterel ithink it was a kesteral it had white wings and white and pale grey markings on its body
 
Sounds like a field mouse they can be very ginger and have white bellies, my cats bring them in all the time. We just take them off them and either put them in the incinerator or if they're alive and might survive then set them free a little way from the house
