my car wont start. Any help?

It is a 1993 Ford Crown Victoria. While I was driving it stalled out. Then it wouldn't start. I had triple a tow it back to my house and I tried to start and nothing. It made a noise like it was trying to catch and it didn't. Then after trying a few minutes later nothing but a clicking. Then this morning I tried to get it again and it made a small pop noise and a little smoke came from under the engine. I left it alone. Someone said it could be my alternator. I just got a brand new battery and terminals as well as a starter in December

Take your car to a parts supply store they can test your alternator for you! That would be your first stop, then look in your phone book for a rebuilder they can save you a bunch of money vs. buying a new unit, they will repair what is needed.
