My car was hit while parked by a company work truck. Can I sue the company?

My car was hit by a man in a company work truck, while my car was parked in front of my house. The speed limit is 25mph and he pushed my car forward about 8 ft showing me that he was speeding. I only know this cause my friend hit a parked car going 25 and it only moved about 2 feet or less. He hit my car because he was looking for his phone under his seat while driving in a residential area. The sheriff came and did a report but issued no tickets, but ruled it his fault. I thought that he would at least get a reckless driving ticket or speeding. Would that have helped my case? I'm also worried the damage is more than the car is worth and I will get only a small % back of that, so now i will be out of a vehicle. Can I sue the company for the full amount of the repair? It was in excellent condition and ran like a dream before this. I am really afraid now I will have no car and be the one who will have to pay the price for somebody else's fault. Should I call the police and see why they never issued a ticket and have them check the skid to see how fast he was going? The car is still in the same position.
