I have a 1997 Ford Escort. Recently it has started to turn off when I slow down to turn or stop at a light or stop sign. It starts to shake really bad and just turns off.
If I keep my foot lightly on the gas while on the brake at the same time I can keep my car on when I'm at a light but its really using a lot of gas.
Someone suggested that I get a new idle air control valve but that didn't help. What could be causing my car to do this?
