My car toyota corolla overheating specially in queues and while in traffic.?

When i drive on motorway its bit better otherwise heating guage is shooting to 3/4.

Check to see if your cooling fan turns on, if not, you may have a faulty thermocouple, bad fuse, burned out fan motor.

first off I'd be adding coolant. Next i'd call my mechanic.
